Dental Veneers | Leander
Dental veneers are the most common and relatively easy way to have a made for Instagram smile! A thin, tooth-colored covers that are sealed to the front surface of your teeth to cosmetically enhance your smile. They’re usually made from porcelain, Zirconia or resin-composite materials and are permanently bonded to your teeth.
Veneers are often used to take care of many cosmetic concerns, including:
- chipped or broken teeth
- discoloration either through staining or inherent
- smaller-than-average teeth
- crooked teeth
Some patients may only get one veneer in the case of a broken or chipped tooth, but many elect to do between six to eight veneers in order to achieve the perfect symmetrical smile. The upper front eight teeth are the most commonly desired veneer case.
In the past, the success of veneers heavily relied upon the artist who would wax up your case by hand and cast them into beautiful porcelain veneers. Dental technology today is much more robust and digitized where we use computer scans to design the perfect smile! Dentists are now able to fix both all kinds of esthetic issues, such as chips, cracks, stains, and more. Our cosmetic dentists at Crystal Lake Dental can even alter the shape and size of your teeth, and adjust your gum line, and improve your bite.
Dental veneers can dramatically improve your overall facial appearance; even the smallest procedure can greatly boost your confidence, self-esteem, and want to smile! Dentistry today and enhancements in cosmetic procedures can range from a basic color correction to replacing missing teeth, and everything in between.
