The Problem With Traditional Dentures

If you wear traditional dentures, you already know these frustrations.

😬

Slipping While Eating & Talking

Dentures shift at the worst moments, making meals and conversations stressful.

🫠

Adhesive Messes

Pastes and powders are messy, taste bad, and still don’t hold reliably.

🦴

Bone Loss Over Time

Without tooth roots, your jawbone shrinks. Dentures accelerate this, changing your facial structure.

🥗

Dietary Restrictions

Steak, apples, corn on the cob. Traditional dentures take your favorite foods off the table.

😔

Embarrassment

The fear of dentures slipping in public holds you back from living fully.

How Snap-In Dentures Work

A simple, proven process that transforms your denture experience.

1

Implants Placed

Dr. Sharaf places 2–4 small titanium implants in your jawbone. These serve as anchors for your denture.

2

Denture Snaps On

Your custom denture clicks securely onto the implants with special attachments. No adhesive needed.

3

Live Confidently

Remove for cleaning, snap back in. Eat, talk, and laugh without worrying about slipping.

Snap-In Dentures FAQ

Answers to common questions from denture wearers in Leander, Cedar Park, and Austin.

Can I eat normally with snap-in dentures?
Yes. Snap-in dentures are significantly more stable than traditional dentures, allowing you to eat most foods confidently. Steak, apples, and crunchy vegetables are back on the menu. Some very hard or sticky foods should still be eaten with care, but overall your diet improves dramatically.
How many implants do snap-in dentures need?
Typically 2–4 implants per arch. The lower jaw often needs just 2 implants for excellent stability. The upper jaw may require 4 due to softer bone density. Dr. Sharaf will recommend the right number based on your 3D imaging during your free consultation.
Do snap-in dentures look natural?
Absolutely. Your snap-in denture is custom-crafted to match natural tooth color, shape, and gum appearance. Modern materials look very realistic. Most people won’t know you’re wearing a denture at all.
How do I clean snap-in dentures?
Remove the denture by unsnapping it from the implants. Brush it with a soft denture brush and mild soap or denture cleaner. Clean around the implant attachments in your mouth with a soft toothbrush. Snap the denture back in. It takes just a few minutes, and there’s no messy adhesive to deal with.
Are snap-in dentures permanent?
The implants are permanent and can last a lifetime. The denture itself is removable (that’s the point — easy cleaning). The denture portion may need replacement or relining every 10–15 years, but the implants stay in place. It’s the best of both worlds: stability when you need it, removable when you want it.
Am I a candidate if I already wear dentures?
Most current denture wearers are excellent candidates for snap-in dentures. Even if you’ve experienced some bone loss from wearing traditional dentures, implants can often still be placed. In some cases, a bone graft may be needed first. Dr. Sharaf will evaluate your jawbone with 3D imaging during your free consultation.
